‘A bit like Perrières is in Meursault: great wine but less easy. Needs an occasion.’
Relatively light nose. But lots of interesting minerally stuff underneath. Real weight. But not sweet. 17/20 JANCIS ROBINSON
Here a pungent nose combines notes of soft wood with reduction that pushes the underlying fruit to the background. As is often the case with this wine, there is terrific energy and punch to the medium weight flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the overtly citrus-inflected finale that is focused, powerful and impressively long for its level. This is one to look for if your taste runs to racy and markedly dry whites. (88-91) BURGHOUND.
